1. Acceptance of these terms
These Terms govern your access to and use of iHostels. By creating an account or using our website and services, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. The iHostels service
iHostels helps users discover student accommodation and provides related features such as listings, enquiries, roommate connections, marketplace posts, bookings, and messaging. Unless expressly stated otherwise, iHostels is a technology platform and is not the owner, landlord, manager, seller, or agent responsible for third-party accommodation, products, or services.
3. Accounts
You must provide accurate information, keep it current, protect your login credentials, and accept responsibility for activity through your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
4. Listings and user content
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant iHostels a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute it as needed to operate, promote, and improve the service. You represent that you have the right to submit the content and that it is accurate and lawful.
We may review, restrict, or remove content that violates these Terms, applicable law, or the rights and safety of others. We do not guarantee the accuracy, availability, legality, or quality of user or third-party content.
5. Acceptable use
You must not:
- Use iHostels for fraud, harassment, discrimination, or unlawful activity.
- Post false, misleading, infringing, harmful, or deceptive content.
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity or affiliation.
- Access another user's account or bypass security controls.
- Introduce malicious code or interfere with the service.
- Scrape or automate access without written permission.
- Use information from iHostels to spam, exploit, or harm anyone.
6. Transactions and third parties
You are responsible for evaluating listings and other users before paying, signing an agreement, or meeting in person. Transactions and arrangements between users or third parties are solely between those parties unless iHostels expressly agrees otherwise in writing. Third-party services have their own terms and privacy policies.
7. Intellectual property
The iHostels service, branding, software, and original content are owned by or licensed to us and protected by applicable law. These Terms do not grant a right to use our trademarks, branding, or proprietary materials beyond normal use of the service.
8. Suspension and termination
You may stop using iHostels at any time. We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, created legal or safety risk, or threatened the service's operation or security.
9. Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by law, iHostels is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service or the accuracy of listings and user-provided information. Nothing here excludes rights or warranties that cannot legally be excluded.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, iHostels and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or losses arising from user content, third-party conduct, user transactions, unauthorized access, or interrupted service. Liability is not limited where doing so would be unlawful.
11. Privacy
Our collection and use of personal information are described in our Privacy Policy.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms as iHostels or applicable requirements change. We will publish revisions here and update the effective date. Continued use after revised Terms take effect constitutes acceptance.
